They are looking to add a hands‑on Machine Operator to their production team. This is a long‑term opportunity with consistent work, strong tooling support, and room to grow your skillset. If you enjoy working with machines, reading blueprints, and producing quality parts, this could be a great fit. What You'll Be Doing Set up and operate production machining equipment to manufacture metal components from bar stock Perform machining operations such as turning, boring, threading, and facing Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications Select tooling, cutting speeds, feed rates, and depth of cut based on material and print requirements Install and adjust tooling, collets, bushings, and stock‑feeding mechanisms Make machine adjustments to ensure proper timing, chip removal, and part quality Inspect first‑run and sample parts using gauges, calipers, and micrometers Replace worn or damaged tools as needed Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the shift Assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor What We're Looking For Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or machining environment Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Comfortable performing machine setups and adjustments Reliable, safety‑focused, and quality‑driven work ethic Nice to Have (Not Required) Experience setting up or operating automatic screw machines (single or multi‑spindle) Background working with cams, gears, and automatic indexing machines Experience with shop math and statistical process control (SPC) Ability to sharpen tools using a bench grinder Experience training or assisting other operators Why This Opportunity Stable, long‑term role with a respected manufacturer Clean, organized shop environment Opportunity to grow into more advanced setups or machining responsibilities Supportive leadership and experienced team members
