Hire Production Bagging Operator- Joliet, IL Hours:

2:00pm- 10:30pm

Position Summary:

Provide daily bag filling production of granulated material from hopper railcars into 50# paper bags and bulk sacks ranging in 1000 to 3000 lbs. Tasks include, but limited to railcar setup and positioning, bag filling, stenciling, palletizing, forklift operations, cleaning and planning for next day's production. This position may also be required to help out in other departments where qualified. Work is to be performed in a safe and efficient manner in accordance to the company's

Position Qualifications:

Must have a high school or equivalent education with excellent communication skills, the ability to read, write and perform math calculations. Demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated and work productively in remote areas. Demonstrate the ability to safely operate a forklift.

Physical Requirements:

Be physically capable of climbing ladders to access facility locations including the top of railcars. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.

Primary Responsibilities:

Position hopper railcars over the bag filling building and equipment in a safe manner. Operate bag filling equipment and make scale adjustments for accurate bag weights. Prepare bags for proper product identification from customer's paperwork. Palletize bags neatly onto pallets in specific customer configurations. Operate forklift equipment to store finished product or load pallets onto a truck. Communicate operational activities with the area Supervisor or Manager. Report any needed maintenance issues requiring immediate attention. Support sound management practices and promote a positive work ethic. Be responsible in the adherence to the companies

quality procedures, regulatory compliance and safety for the dry bulk operations. Keep the bag filling area in a neat, clean and orderly manner. Assist other departments in material handling when so directed.
