Machine Operator (3rd Shift) Job Description We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Machine Operators on the 3rd shift. You will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and changing over food processing equipment to produce pizzas. This role involves operating various machines within the bakery department, including mixing machines, filling machines, and baggers. Responsibilities Set up and monitor equipment such as mixers, fillers, ovens, presses, baggers, and cartoners on the production line. Operate mixing, filling, and grinding machines to prepare dough and other materials. Read and interpret batch tickets to accurately weigh and add ingredients for dough preparation. Operate tumblers to mix materials with specific starches and other ingredients. Ensure the proper speed, temperature, and weight settings on bagger machines before each order. Perform visual and quality inspections to maintain product standards. Monitor temperatures, speed, and durations, and make necessary adjustments to machinery. Perform basic repairs using hand and power tools, and clear jams as needed. Lift up to 50 lbs. and maintain sanitation of machinery. Essential Skills Experience working within a foods GMP environment. Proficiency in machine operation, including making adjustments and clearing jams. Ability to operate baggers, wrappers, films, cartoners, mixers, and fillers. Additional Skills & Qualifications GMP experience. Bilingual ability is a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a fast-paced production floor within the toppings department, featuring colder temperatures of 40°F to 45°F. With a clean and organized facility, you will be working alongside approximately 100 team members per shift. Safety is a priority; all employees must wear safety shoes, smocks, hairnets, beard nets, hearing protection, hard hats, and safety glasses. The facility operates Monday to Saturday, with mandatory Saturdays if scheduled. The environment is dynamic, requiring flexibility to work in various areas as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manteno, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
