Full-Time | 1st Shift Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Saw Operator for a growing manufacturing and distribution facility in Melrose Park. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience working in a metal manufacturing or warehouse environment who are looking for long-term career growth.

Responsibilities:

Operate industrial band saws and production saw equipment to accurately cut metal materials according to customer specifications. Read and interpret work orders to verify dimensions, quantities, and material requirements. Measure materials using tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy. Load, position, and secure materials prior to cutting. Inspect finished products to verify quality standards and dimensional accuracy. Assist with material handling using forklifts and overhead cranes as needed. Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance. Follow all company safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating industrial saws or metal cutting equipment preferred. Ability to accurately read a tape measure and interpret work orders. Experience working with steel, aluminum, or other metal products is highly preferred. Forklift experience required; overhead crane experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
