A Machine Set Up Technician sets up machinery used in a manufacturing facility, ready for use by operators. May also be responsible for basic operation of machines.
$22.00-$35.00 per hour Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) Job Responsibilities Set up and operate a wide range of folding and imaging equipment, including feeders, glue systems, and inkjet heads/camera systems. Perform routine machine setup, including paper transport, component installation, glue application configuration, and inkjet file loading. Build, adjust, and verify inkjet and camera system setups, including file management and system placement. Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, and complete minor repairs when parts are available. Work closely with operators, feeders, and catchers to ensure proper product loading, production, and packing. Meet and strive to exceed production goals while maintaining high quality standards. Monitor quality control systems, respond to QC alerts, and escalate issues to management or technicians when necessary. Train team members on machine setup, safe operating procedures, and best practices. Complete all required production documentation accurately and on time.
