Job Title:
Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking dedicated Machine Operators to join a screw and fastener coating company. As a Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in enhancing screws by applying protective coatings, adding colored paint for visibility, or incorporating nylon locks. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a union after the initial 90 days, with annual raises thereafter. Responsibilities Review work orders to determine client specifications for screw alterations. Set up and operate your assigned machine independently. Conduct three quality checks every hour and document the results. Apply protective coatings, colored paint, plastic caps, or nylon nuts to screws as required. Essential Skills Proficiency in machine operation and inspection. Strong mechanical aptitude to manage complex machinery. Ability to read and understand instructions in English. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfortable working with adhesive, glue, and acetone smells. Experience in production and manufacturing environments. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northbrook, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.53 - $21.03/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
