Job Description

- Job Description
- As a machine operator, you will review shift production schedules with your supervisor, focusing on specific overlays and magnetic foils required for each job.
You must read and understand job ticket specifications, comprehend all instructions, and ask questions or report problems as needed. Loading trolleys with required stock and checking the collator for scratches are key tasks. Additionally, you will check the overlay for proper coating, record necessary information in the first piece log book, and ensure machine operations and product quality. You will work to maintain consistent production results and keep the machine well-maintained and the work area clean.
- Responsibilities
- + Review shift production schedule with supervisor regarding overlays and magnetic foils.
+ Read and understand job ticket specifications and comprehend instructions.
+ Load trolleys with required stock.
+ Check collator for possible causes of scratches.
+ Check overlay for proper coating.
+ Record information in the first piece log book.
+ Ensure cutter and tacking are operating properly.
+ Check machine operation and product quality throughout the run.
+ Provide QC with 5 sheets every half-hour for specification checks.
+ Maintain machine and work area cleanliness and safety.
+ Learn tasks of adjacent workers and fill in during emergencies.
+ Log job number, customer's name, and quantity of sheets done.
+ Understand and maintain SOPs M0300, M309, M0315, and qualify standards.
+ Perform other duties as required by shift supervisor.
+ Maintain consistent production results per scheduled requirements.
- Essential Skills
- + Mechanical knowledge and machine operating skills. + Inspection skills. + Ability to lift 50-60 lbs. + Good communication and comprehension skills. + Technical skill to troubleshoot machine operational adjustments. + Basic computer skills.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Once trained, become knowledgeable of key technical standards for equipment operation. + Assist maintenance staff.

- Work Environment
- Work in a well-lit, organized, and climate-controlled environment. The first shift operates Monday to Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, the second shift from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM with a differential pay, and the third shift from Friday to Sunday 5 AM to 5 PM with differential pay, training on the first shift for 2-3 weeks.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $22.
00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
