Shift Drylac/Metallic Machine Operator:
Work Practices:
Understand and follow written and verbal instructions Re-screen and spray test samples Set up of equipment using base parameters assigned by management Prepare pigments and bases together for upcoming runs Record operational data on computer-controlled machinery and/or specified forms Clean and disassemble mixing and bonding equipment Prepare tooling for changeovers and perform machine changeovers Transport finished runs or full skills to shipping warehouse Package and label finished goods in designated carton boxes Stack finished goods on appropriate skids Organize carton boxes effectively and change them in a timely manner Work to continuously improve all areas of productivity and reduce scrap
Supporting Work Practices:
Relieve co-workers for breaks Maintain cleanliness of workstation and meet 7S requirements Familiar and follow Lean Manufacturing principles Quality Practices Continually monitor production runs to detect defects or deviations from standards and make minor adjustments as necessary Inform Supervisor of major machinery or quality concerns Conduct re-screening of product by hand screening Other / additional responsibilities: Participate in team meetings Interact with co-workers, peers and supervisor in a constructive, productive and cooperative manner to meet production needs Drive Full Responsibility and Advice Process throughout the Organization Regular, predictable, on-site attendance is an essential function of the job Follow and Live Liberating Organism (LO) strategies and principles Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience at minimum 1 year in manufacturing production setting Powder coating experience preferred Must be able to train on day shift at 10pm to 630am, Monday through Friday and work regular schedule once transferred at 2 pm - 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday, overtime as needed Must be able to read, write, and speak basic English. Spanish is a plus not required. An aptitude for working with factory machinery Experience working with extruders, mills, sieves, bonders, mixers, preferred. Basic computer-controlled machinery experience preferred Standing for periods of up to 9 hours Repetitive lifting of up to 55lbs Exposure to dust, powder coating paint, and noise Wearing of PPE (personal protective equipment) required through entire shift Climbing repetitively throughout the shift of stairs or ladders
