Sorter - Wood Dale, IL Kelly Services is seeking a Sorter for a leading client in Wood Dale! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.
Position Details:
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm
Pay:
$18.50/hour
Job Overview:
The Sorter Associate will operate computerized vision inspection machines to sort products for shipment. This machine-oriented role requires sound math skills for machine setup and operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, start, and stop production equipment Assist production lines in a factory setting Clean production area as needed Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies Sort items on conveyor belts and remove defective products Feed/place items onto equipment for processing Lubricate equipment and maintain conformance to specifications Pull damaged/ineffective equipment or materials from line Mark parts for identification and measure extruded articles Remove/replace machine attachments and scrape waste material from machines Ship finished products

Requirements:
Must be able to stand for extended periods Capable of lifting/moving boxes up to 35 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs) Ability to sort items accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Adhere to all safety procedures and workplace policies Wear appropriate attire and PPE at all times Consistent attendance and punctuality required Professional communication with supervisors and team members Overtime may be required based on workload
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required 2-5 years relevant experience, warehouse setting preferred Ability to read, understand, and maintain records Experience handling multiple priorities simultaneously Forklift experience preferred
