8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (1st shift 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM; Mandatory OT as needed)

OVERVIEW
We are seeking dependable, safety-focused Team Leader to join our Special Ops Department. Special Ops Operators support just-in-time (JIT), time-sensitive customer orders by building carriers and preparing, racking, unracking, packing, and banding Special Ops material. This role is critical to maintaining quality, productivity, and on-time delivery for our customers.
THINGS YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR 1
st shift spec ops team lead will be the production point of contact for Bennington. Prepare, rack, unrack, and pack Special Ops material with a strong focus on quality. Maximize square footage when racking parts. Perform production and quality checks during unracking. Pack parts with or without specific packing instructions, including required separations. Band and prepare packed material for shipping. Maintain safety, housekeeping, quality, and productivity to meet daily goals. Communicate information with Team Leaders to maximize workflow and productivity. Collect and document production and quality data for review. Remain aware of job-related hazards and follow all safety procedures. Wear required PPE at all times.
THINGS YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
Ability to work well with others in a team environment. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity. Ability to communicate effectively with Team Leaders, Supervisors, and coworkers. Ability to count parts and perform basic math calculations. Basic understanding of anodizing processes and how racking affects quality. Ability to distinguish between good and bad racking materials and carrier components.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Medium to heavy physical demand. Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, balancing, reaching, standing, and walking for extended periods. Ability to lift parts up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance. Constant lifting in the 1-20 lb range. Manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts and associated hazards.
REQUIRED PPE
Safety glasses or prescription safety glasses. Safety toe footwear. Arm guards and gloves. Hearing protection. Protective headgear and additional PPE per employee handbook.
