2nd Shift hours: 2:00pm to 10:00pm Monday - Friday; some mandatory OT Essential Functions 1. Set-up, operate and control the induction melting furnace and casting furnace in the rod area. 2. Ensure the safe operation of the furnace by using safe melting practices 3. Observe and record data on all melts 4. Identify, separate, weigh, document and make proper disposition of good and scrap material 5. Assist in other departmental classifications where needed 6. Routinely monitor the cooling supply to the induction furnaces Typical duties and tasks 1.Regular attendance 2. Loading of charge material to be melted 3. Continuous monitoring of charge during production for Temperature and Chemistry 4. Routinely inventory and stock melt deck consumables 5. Follow schedule and make suggestions for improved quality and efficiency Qualifications and Experience 1. High School Diploma or GED 2. Must be physically capable to perform the job 3. Familiarity of basic computer skills 4. Able to work independently
