Must be able to read blueprints and schematics. 2 years of CNC operating experience required. Knowledge of CNC laser operations required. Responsibilities Position summary:
Produces laser cuts for fabrication processes by setting up, programming, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) laser cutting machine in a safe, productive manner, ensuring all quality standards are met or exceeded. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Operating single or multiple CNC laser cutting machines, including loading raw material and ensuring quality by maintaining focal point adjustment, feed rate, power, and other parameters. Ensures machine optics are maintained by performing tests and procedures, including tape shots, lens focusing, lens cleaning, nozzle cleaning, and replacement of any worn items. Labels finished parts accurately and delivers them to designated areas. Monitors laser operations to ensure machine is functioning properly and safely; records machine code errors and communicates performance issues to the supervisor. Uses inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures. De-burrs and cleans parts. Maintains quality, productivity, and safety records. Maintains supplies and performs regular preventive maintenance. Assists other operators with operating, inspecting, and cleaning machines and parts. Maintains cleanliness of work area. Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures. Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred Minimum of 2 years of CNC operating experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
Knowledge of CNC laser-cutting operations Ability to read a tape measure and micrometer Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Good time management skills Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines Team-oriented and collaborative LOTO certification required Crane operation certification required Forklift operation certification required Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
ADA Requirements:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Reaching:
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing:
Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
Walking:
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Pushing:
Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
Pulling:
Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Lifting:
Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
Grasping:
Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Hearing:
Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
Visual Acuity:
The worker is required to: have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
