Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Packing Lead to oversee the packaging operations at our aluminum extrusion plant. This role is responsible for ensuring that products are packed efficiently, accurately, and safely to meet quality standards and delivery deadlines. The Packing Lead will supervise packing staff, coordinate with production teams, and uphold safety protocols within the packing area. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the packing team to ensure timely and accurate packaging of aluminum extrusions. Oversee daily packing operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations. Coordinate with production departments to plan packing schedules aligned with manufacturing output. Train and mentor packing staff on proper packing techniques, safety procedures, and equipment usage. Monitor inventory levels of packing materials and coordinate with procurement for replenishment as needed. Conduct regular inspections of packed products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe packing environment to prevent accidents or damage. Document packing activities, report discrepancies or issues, and implement corrective actions promptly. Collaborate with logistics teams to facilitate smooth shipping processes. Qualifications Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or packaging environment, preferably in aluminum extrusion or similar industries. Strong understanding of packaging processes, safety protocols, and quality control standards. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Good communication skills to coordinate with various departments and team members. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges promptly. Basic knowledge of inventory management and record keeping. Pay:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 48.0 per week
