10:00pm-6:30am Overtime is required as needed. Some weekend work may be required. Position Summary Our automotive client is seeking motivated and dependable Mold Setters to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for coordinating and assisting production associates, performing machine setups, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lead and support team members in a fast-paced environment. Essential Responsibilities Set up and operate molding and production equipment safely and efficiently. Train and assist associates with preventive maintenance activities. Ensure machine safety devices are in place and functioning properly. Perform machine adjustments and basic maintenance to maintain quality production. Troubleshoot equipment and production issues. Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures safely and according to company standards. Monitor and record scrap accurately and ensure proper disposal. Verify rework activities are completed by the end of each shift. Inspect and measure parts to ensure compliance with quality specifications. Train associates on machine operation, adjustments, and safety procedures. Assist with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) goals, including safety, scrap reduction, quality improvement, and downtime reduction. Complete required production paperwork and data entry accurately. Support continuous improvement efforts through 5S, Kaizen, SQDCME, and EHS initiatives. Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment. Move raw materials, scrap, and nonconforming products throughout the facility. Report quality, safety, and equipment issues to management promptly. Fill in for production associates as needed to support operations. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED. Manufacturing experience. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. Preferred Two or more years of manufacturing experience. Previous mold setting, machine setup, or injection molding experience. Forklift and crane operating experience. Experience with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen initiatives. Computer Skills Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word Microsoft Outlook Basic production data entry Knowledge of Pareto Charts preferred Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift. Regular use of hands for handling tools, materials, and equipment. Frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lift and move 50 pounds or more. Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and machinery. Safety Requirements Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
