2985763056-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Smurfit WestRock is seeking an Asst Machine Operator to support safe, efficient production of sustainable paper and packaging. In this role, you'll assist with machine setup, material loading, quality checks, and basic troubleshooting on high-speed corrugated packaging and containerboard equipment. You will follow strict safety and environmental standards, keep work areas clean, and record production data accurately. Responsibilities Assist Machine Operators in setting up and running corrugated packaging and containerboard production equipment Load materials, monitor machine operation, and remove finished product safely and efficiently Perform basic quality checks on products, measuring dimensions and inspecting for defects Follow all safety, housekeeping, and environmental procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing setting Support changeovers, basic adjustments, and minor troubleshooting under direction of senior operators Accurately record production data, downtime, and material usage in plant systems Communicate issues to supervisors and maintenance to minimize equipment downtime Participate in continuous improvement, 5 S, and lean manufacturing activities Required Skills Machine operation support Corrugated packaging production Basic mechanical aptitude Quality inspection and measurement Lockout/tagout awareness Material handling and staging Safety and PPE compliance Production data entry Basic troubleshooting assistance5 S and lean manufacturing practices
