Job Description

Blending Operator Hoehn Plastics, Inc. is seeking dependable, safety-minded Blending Operators to join our operational team in the Blending Department. Blending Operators play an important role in preparing materials used throughout our manufacturing process. In this hands-on position, you'll operate blending equipment, accurately weigh and measure materials, collect product samples, maintain production records, and help ensure materials meet Hoehn Plastics' established quality standards. Position Details Full-Time Fixed Work Schedule Weekly Pay Overtime as Needed Compensation Competitive Hourly Wages Additional Shift Premium for 2nd & 3rd Shift Positions Performance-Based Pay Reviews at 90 Days and Annually What You'll Do Blending Operators are responsible for safely operating blending equipment and supporting accurate, consistent material preparation throughout the production process. Read work orders to determine production specifications and material requirements. Accurately weigh and measure materials, ingredients, and products according to established requirements. Operate and monitor blending equipment to support safe and efficient production. Collect product samples for Lab testing according to established procedures. Monitor materials and finished blends for conformity with established quality standards. Record production data and complete required documentation accurately. Utilize internal inventory and production systems as required. Safely operate material-handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stage materials for processing. Properly identify, secure, and store materials and finished products in designated areas. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow established safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Communicate effectively with Shift Leads, Coordinators, Quality, Operations, and other team members to support safe and efficient production. Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Ability to read and follow written instructions, work orders, established procedures, and production requirements. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately. Basic computer skills. Ability to safely work around industrial equipment and material-handling equipment. Ability to accurately weigh, measure, document, and handle production materials. Ability to recognize and communicate material, equipment, process, or product concerns. Reliable and punctual attendance. Ability to work effectively as part of a production team. Previous forklift experience is preferred. Previous experience in plastics manufacturing, blending, material processing, or a similar industrial environment is preferred. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is beneficial. Physical & Work Environment This is an active, hands-on position within a warehouse and industrial manufacturing environment. The role requires extended standing on concrete, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, and performing physical activities throughout the shift. Team members must be able to frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs. The work environment may include exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dust, forklift traffic, industrial processing equipment, and occasional outdoor work.
