Job Description
Job Summary The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining production machinery while ensuring products meet quality standards. The role includes performing machine changeovers, startups, shutdowns, loading materials, and replenishing supplies. Operators conduct quality inspections, complete production records, and maintain clean and organized work areas. They must also identify and report mechanical problems, process issues, and food safety concerns. Employees are expected to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety procedures, and company sanitation standards. The position requires teamwork, flexibility, cross-training, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, communicate effectively in English, understand recipes, have basic math skills, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. The job also requires frequent standing, bending, stooping, overhead lifting, and working on hard surfaces for extended periods. Food manufacturing experience, SAP experience, punctuality, and dependability are preferred qualifications. The work environment is safety-focused and climate-controlled, but employees may operate around automated machinery, forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and various food allergens.
