1st shift
  • 6:00am to 4:00pm (Overtime as production demands) The Formulation Department is the area where the fresh pork is ground, the spices are added, and then blended (formulated) to specifications for sausage making.
This room is where the magic happens! The successful candidate will learn all the roles within the department which include, measuring/sifting spice, operating/emptying the blenders, operating the x-ray/fat machinery, and utilizing PIV forklifts to move combos of batter to staging. The successful candidate will also ensure compliance with safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with safety, quality, and sanitation requirements while operating sausage making equipment. In addition, this candidate will establish and sustain effective relationships with all Members so that they may work together to promote innovation and cooperation in order to solve problems. Responsibilities Know and follow all safety policies involved in the position including lockout/tag-out procedures, PPE, safe lifting techniques etc.). Learn to operate the recipe office effectively and efficiently. Maintain production at line speed. Operate a forklift to load spice onto a blender stand. Follow daily production schedules for products that need to be blended. Follow correct formulation of meat, seasoning and water that's required for each blend. All other duties as assigned Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferredExperience
  • Must be able to hand grip/push/pull up to 50 lbs, carry 32 lbs, and lift 24 lbs
  • Walking and/or Standing throughout the shift
  • Bending and/or Reaching throughout the shiftSkills Ability to perform responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner.
Ability to read, speak, and write English. Ability to identify and fix problems with minimal guidance. Ability to operate touch screen electronic devices such as an iPad Multitasking required. Communication / organization, including legible handwriting. Evaluation / decision making / prioritizing. Requires full range of body motion: standing, squatting, kneeling, upper body twisting: occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, hand and wrist mobility Other Requirements
TEMPERATURE
  • Will be exposed to wide variations in temperature, operating temperature of the Processing department is approximately 40 degrees F
  • Ability to work with inside conditions that include exposure to moderate noise levels, moderate odor and presence of animal blood
  • Must be at least 18 years old
