Machine Operator Tramec LLC Description:
Tramec Sloan - TS Iola Division is currently seeking a Machine Operator. Tramec Sloan is a part of the Tramec Holdings family, which has facilities located throughout the United States. Position Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for assisting in the setup, operation, and monitoring of machines to produce parts according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Shift:
Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm but shift could vary based on production needs
Essential Job Duties:
Operate machines. Load raw materials and ensure proper tooling is in place. Monitor machine operations and make minor adjustments as needed. Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools. Read and follow basic blueprints, work orders, and production instructions. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Report equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance. Assist with basic machine setups and tool changes (training provided)
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Mechanical or manufacturing background preferred. Ability to read basic measurements (inches, millimeters). Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Ability to stand for long periods and lift 30-50 lbs as needed.
