Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sawyer to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating saws and related equipment to cut lumber for truss production. Your expertise will ensure precision and efficiency in producing high-quality components used in the production of roof and floor trusses. Duties Operate automated and manual saws to cut lumber components according to specs and production schedule Measure members using tape measures and other hand tools to ensure accurate cuts Inspect materials for defects and ensure quality standards are met Maintain saw equipment, including routine cleaning and minor adjustments Work closely with truss assemblers and production team members to ensure efficient workflow Monitor inventory of lumber and report any shortages or issues Operate forklift to unload material deliveries, and move material from lumber yard to saw Skills Proficiency in operating saws, hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery Ability to read measuring tools (tape measure, square, ect.) accurately Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods Warehouse experience including material handling with forklifts (certification preferred)

Pay:

From $17.00 per hour
