Job Description

  • Job Title:
    Machine Saw Operator
  • Job Description
  • Join our team as a Machine Saw Operator where you will utilize your expertise in saw operation to meet customer requirements in a fast-paced environment.
The role offers three shifts:
1st shift from 6am-2pm, 2nd shift from 2pm-10pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm-6am. You will be responsible for applying metal to customer orders, processing materials accurately, and maintaining the processing equipment and area in a safe and clean condition.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Apply metal to customer orders and process material accurately according to work order specifications.
+ Maintain processing equipment in a safe and clean condition. + Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. + Pull, inspect, and verify product before processing. + Set up equipment properly and safely to run material to setup note specifications. + Verify product meets setup note specifications per written work instructions and record measurements. + Communicate with sales representatives regarding changes or clarifications to orders. + Perform equipment preventive maintenance. + Enter and delete material identification tags per written instructions. + Assist in packaging material per written work instructions and work order. + Operate weighing scale and record inspection measurements. + Identify, record, and segregate scrap and non-conforming materials. + Provide feedback regarding machine efficiency and product quality. + Complete responsibilities without compromising safety. + Train others when required. + Assist in lean and quality activities.
  • Essential Skills
  • + 2+ years of saw operation experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. + Ability to handle inventory control using mathematical skills. + Proficiency in reading rulers and interpreting blueprints. + Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. + High school diploma or GED.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Previous warehouse experience, especially in the metals industry. + Forklift operation experience. + Computer literacy. + Experience using hand-held measuring tools.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $23.
00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
