Job Description
Duties include but are not limited to the following: Employees will be required to load and unload parts into a fixture to be welded. (This does not require the operator to personally weld, nor to have welding experience/knowledge) After part is welded, part this then checked by operator for quality and then placed in the proper container. Employee/Operator is required to make labels for containers and responsible for production log sheets to be filled out properly. This DOES include math, ability to accurately report down time and written, verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the operation of welders (robots, canister welders, etc., projection/spot welders, resistance welders) is a plus+ including assembly equipment. Initiates troubleshooting/problems resolution techniques. Complete working knowledge of plant operations specializing in the Weld Department. Primary portion of work is in factory, ventilated, heated, and NON-air-conditioned facility. Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking. Position requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, bending, handling, and/or use of tactile information. Must be able to express ideas or exchange thoughts by means of talking, hearing, reading and/or writing. Requires motor coordination, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, eye-hand-foot coordination and may include transporting objects and lifting up to 50 pounds. Quality Checks 1 st and last piece with approval from QA Auditor/Inspector Completes Quality Assurance Check sheets accurately and timely Ensures that part quality meets customer requirements Troubleshooting problems/issues with machine Daily 5-S (Housekeeping) Exposure to various types of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and other agents utilized in factory. Is dependable and punctual in reporting for scheduled shift, this includes the pre-shift meeting. Works effectively with a variety of facility staff, vendors, and customers. Uphold the highest regard to plant-wide Safety Policies and Procedures. Exhibits clear and concise teamwork, communication, and punctuality.
