Embroidery Machine Operator 1st Shift BlueCotton | Bowling Green, KY | Full-time, 100% Onsite Get paid for what you produce — starting as early as week three. Our busiest season hits in October, and we need someone on an embroidery machine before it does. Most operators spend 90 days training before they move onto our incentive pay scale. Not this one. If you pick it up fast and you're ready, we'll put you on an incentive-based pay scale as soon as two weeks in because we'd rather pay you for your output than make you wait three months to prove what you already know. If you're the kind of person who checks their numbers at the end of the shift, who gets antsy when there's nothing in front of you to run, who'd rather earn $20/hr than clock $16/hr, then we'd love to speak with you. What "fast-paced" really means here A lot of postings say fast-paced. Here's what it looks like on our floor: When you're on the clock, you're touching work. Machines running, garments hooped, next order staged. There is no slow hour. You'll be watching multiple heads at once and catching a thread break or a misplaced stitch before it becomes 40 ruined shirts. Peak season means volume. October through December, the orders don't stop, and neither do we. Your output is visible. Yours and everyone else's. People here are competitive about it in a good way. What you'll do Run the machines. Operate embroidery machine(s) to sew customers' designs onto their desired garments. Follow our checklist and hold the quality standard on every single garment that leaves your station. Protect the product. Keep a close watch on what's running. Catch problems early. Waste and rework cost us customers and cost you production. Hit the schedule. Run efficiently so orders ship on time. Follow the checklists. Our customers have events, openings, and fundraisers on the calendar; the ship date matters. Keep the equipment healthy. Communicate machine problems to your supervisor immediately rather than working around them. Keep your area clean. Clean machines, keep your station clean and organized, and take the trash out when it's full. Show up. On time to start, on time back from break. When you're down, someone else covers your volume. Learn fast. You'll be trained thoroughly and quickly. Ask questions, take notes, and get proficient. Work with the team. Be someone people are glad to work next to. What you'll bring Drive to earn. You want your paycheck tied to your performance, and you'll push to move that number up. High energy, urgency, and stamina. This is a standing, moving, hands-on job. A track record of being highly productive. Tell us about it in your interview; we'll want specifics. Sharp attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions exactly, then get faster at them. Willingness to go above and beyond to get the order out. Strong communication, adaptability, and a good attitude on a busy floor. Embroidery experience is a plus but not required. We'll train you. What we can't train is hustle. How the fast-track works We're not going to set you up to fail. If you move onto incentive early: You'll still get the full training curriculum. We're compressing the timeline, not skipping steps. We put measures in place so you're not penalized for being new. Your ramp-up won't be held against your numbers. You decide when you're ready. If you need more time training before moving to the incentive-based pay scale, we will adjust. You'll have a supervisor on the floor with you on 1st shift, not in another building.
