Responsibilities Prepare pet food ingredients through precise measuring, mixing, and cooking processes in accordance with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs). Operate various food processing machinery safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, and packaging equipment. Maintain rigorous sanitation standards by cleaning workstations and equipment regularly to comply with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines. Handle materials and ingredients manually and with material handling equipment such as forklifts while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct mechanical troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow. Follow all regulatory and legal compliance standards related to food safety management and manufacturing processes. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely during ingredient transfer, packaging setup, and product movement using proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Document production activities accurately, including batch records, quality checks, and safety inspections. Qualifications Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, baking, food handling, and food processing methods. Familiarity with sanitation practices, HACCP standards, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and safety standards in production environments. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machinery safely and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Basic math skills for measurements, recipe adjustments, and quality control calculations. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety protocol adherence. Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts is preferred; certification is a plus. Knowledge of regulatory/legal compliance standards relevant to food manufacturing is essential.
