We're looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our lumber yard team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with customers, and taking pride in a job well done. Our lumber yard can be a fast-paced environment. We're looking for someone who can keep a positive attitude, work safely and efficiently, ensure correctness, and stay focused even when things get hectic. What You'll Be Doing Pulling and preparing lumber and building material orders. Loading and unloading lumber, building supplies, and other merchandise. Assisting customers with loading purchases and locating materials. Receiving, stocking, and organizing lumber and building materials. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe lumber yard. Operating forklifts and other equipment when properly trained and authorized. Checking lumber daily for quality, damage and organization. Assisting coworkers with other store and yard responsibilities as needed. Taking initiative to identify and complete tasks without constant supervision. Schedule & Compensation Compensation can be negotiated with applicable experience Full-time and part-time opportunities available. Schedule will be discussed during the interview process; hours could be as early as 6:30 am and as late as 6:30 pm Saturday availability is required as scheduled. 90-Day Introductory Period All new employees are subject to a 90-day introductory evaluation period. During this time, we will assess attendance, punctuality, work quality, productivity, safety, teamwork, and customer service. Performance will be reviewed throughout the introductory period. Employees who do not meet company expectations may be separated from employment at any time, including before the 90-day period ends. Successful completion of the introductory period does not guarantee continued employment. Employees will receive feedback throughout the introductory period.
