HME Service Technician

The HME Service Technician is responsible for delivery/pickup, set up, demonstration, and maintenance of oxygen and home medical equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Makes oxygen/equipment pickup/deliveries to patient's homes. Reports concerns or need for return visit appropriately. Performs maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of equipment in the home per protocols. Picks up equipment in need of repair for evaluation. Assists with inventory control of supplies and equipment. Demonstrates patient/caregiver use of oxygen/equipment per physician orders. Completes daily schedule/assignment sheet. Completes required documentation timely. Performs simple maintenance on vehicles as needed. Performs home safety assessment with equipment set-up. Assists in cleaning equipment according to established guidelines. Performs on-call duties during weekends and holidays.

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent required.

Experience:

Durable medical equipment experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

Valid Kentucky Driver's License required.
