Position Overview We are currently seeking a Jam-Up Saw Operator for a well-established machine shop environment. This position is ideal for a dependable and experienced individual who can "hit the ground running" operating industrial saw equipment with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have previous machine shop experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining production quality standards. Key Responsibilities Operate industrial band saws and cutting equipment safely and efficiently Measure, cut, and prepare metal materials to exact specifications Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and tape measurements accurately Load and unload raw materials onto saw equipment Inspect finished cuts for precision and quality control Maintain production flow while meeting deadlines and shop expectations Perform basic preventative maintenance and daily upkeep on equipment Keep work area clean, organized, and safety compliant Work alongside machinists and shop personnel to support production needs Follow all company safety procedures and machine shop standards Qualifications Previous experience operating industrial saws required Prior machine shop experience strongly preferred Experience with band saw operation required Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and shop drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Dependable attendance and stable work history required Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Must be looking for a long-term career opportunity Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential Opportunity to work with a respected machine shop known for its team-oriented culture Weekly pay through
