DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform typical laser cutting operations. Ability to operate heavy machinery, including but not limited to Band saw, Forklift and Press Brake. Select proper cutting programs and settings. Establish laser beam focal point. Make proper set-ups for cutting operations. Perform prescribed maintenance as required. Perform all dimensional inspections. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
: Must have solid understanding of metal fabrication concepts and processes. Able to determine material types. Read and interpret drawings and blueprints. Able to use basic hand held measuring tools. Good mathematical skills.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Related certification from vocational or technical school. 1 - 3 years manufacturing experience.
Safety:
Work environment normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing shop where use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, welding masks, hard hats and steel toed shoes, etc., is mandatory. Employees may be subject to random drug screening. Post job offer drug screening and a physical are required prior to being placed into active service. Physical labor is required. Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted. Must be able to withstand prolonged time standing. Employees may be subject to repetitive motions.
