Job Description

Youtube Video Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services, has a position open for an Operator in our Harahan plant. This person will work with a Processor Technician to manufacture plastic modular conveyor parts. This position will report to the Production Supervisor. This facility will be a 365/24/7 operation and this position will work 12-hour Night Shifts (6:45 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) with rotating weekends. Responsibilities:
Machine Operations Execution of mold set ups Operating molding machines and automation Inspecting and packaging of molded parts of bulk pack and work cells Monitoring and recording acceptable and scrap parts Answering basic machine and equipment alarms Material change overs of Hoppers within cell Technical Operations Job set-ups including equipment, job kits, and labels Diagnostics of basic technical issues on auxiliary equipment Ensuring ongoing part quality Operation of quality software and data systems Utilizing Shotscope software to monitor jobs General Cell Responsibilities Supplying boxes, pallets, scrap bins and consumables from queue to workstations within cell Total Production Maintenance (TPM) Daily assessment of equipment condition and potential safety issues Reporting and documentation of cell issues through work order requests and shift summaries Housekeeping Reconciling job part volumes in Oracle Supporting cell teammates with breaks Monitoring visual metrics and responding appropriately
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent Ability to perform essential job requirements as set forth in the WorkSaver Functional Job Description for the plastics technical group: Lift 56 pounds safely, Stand and walk continuously while checking machinery, Obtain safe postures during lifting, lowering, reaching, pushing, pulling and carrying while working in awkward positions, Sufficient flexibility to safely climb onto machines, climb stairs, bend at the waist when picking up inserts and other tools, Ability to use one and two hands to push buttons, use small hand tools (including torque wrenches), Ability to perform frequent endurance tasks expending 5.6-7.5 METS. Basic computer skills Ability to work 12-hour shifts, which include every other weekend Ability to work occasional overtime Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Stable work history in a manufacturing or technical environment Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills Self-managed; ability to work well without supervision Team-oriented person possessing a positive attitude EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
