Job Description

Job Title:
Machine Operator Job Overview Operate and maintain automated screw machines Ensure smooth production flow and high-quality output Perform machine setup, monitoring, and basic maintenance Work in a manufacturing/production environment Key Responsibilities Operate automated screw machines to meet production targets Set up machines based on production specifications and blueprints Load raw materials into machines and unload finished products Inspect finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues Perform routine maintenance: Oil changes Coolant checks Basic repairs Ensure machines continue running smoothly during breaks and downtime Assist with general shop duties: Cleaning Sweeping Mopping Packing Move raw materials and finished products within the facility Required Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in machine operation and maintenance Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings Skilled in using hand tools and performing mechanical tasks Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to pass: Math test Mechanical aptitude test Preferred Qualifications Experience with automated or screw machines Understanding of manufacturing processes and operations Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and in a team environment Work Environment Manufacturing/production floor setting Requires standing for extended periods Involves moderate physical activity: Lifting Moving materials Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Agawam, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.10 - $23.10/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
