Extrusion Operator responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining extrusion equipment used to form raw materials into finished products. Job Requirements High school diploma or
GED. 1-3
years of experience in a factory or manufacturing environment. Experience operating industrial manufacturing equipment. Experience adjusting machine temperature, pressure, and speed settings. Experience loading raw materials into production equipment. Experience inspecting finished products for dimensional and surface defects. Experience troubleshooting minor machine jams, blockages, and process issues. Experience performing basic equipment maintenance and cleaning. Ability to follow work orders, machine settings, and production specifications. Preferred Skills Previous extrusion machine operating experience. Experience processing plastics, rubber, metal, or similar materials. Experience with die setup and cleaning. Experience using measuring tools to verify product size and thickness. Experience with in-process quality inspection. Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices for production machinery. Job Responsibilities Set up extrusion machines according to work orders and production requirements. Adjust machine temperature, pressure, and speed settings. Load raw materials, pellets, compounds, or mixtures into machine hoppers. Operate and monitor extrusion equipment throughout production runs. Inspect finished products for size, thickness, surface defects, and other quality requirements. Adjust machine settings to correct product defects or process variation. Troubleshoot minor equipment jams and clear material blockages. Clean extrusion dies, tooling, and related machine components. Lubricate moving parts and perform routine equipment upkeep. Document production, quality, and machine-related information as required. Maintain extrusion equipment and work areas in accordance with production procedures.
Pay:
