Savvy Staffing is hiring an experienced Komax Wire Machine Operator to set up and operate automated wire processing equipment. This position is responsible for cutting, stripping, crimping, and terminating wire while maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and production.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate Komax, Schleuniger, or similar automated wire processing machines Load wire, terminals, tooling, and applicators according to job specifications Adjust machine settings for wire length, strip dimensions, crimp height, and other requirements Perform first-article inspections and quality checks Inspect finished wires for proper length, crimps, insulation, and terminal placement Use calipers, micrometers, crimp height micrometers, and pull testers Follow work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and production specifications Perform basic machine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting Report machine issues or repairs needed to maintenance or supervision Record production, scrap, and material usage accurately Maintain proper handling of materials, tooling, and terminals Maintain a clean and organized 5S work area Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures

Requirements:

4-6 years of experience operating Komax, Schleuniger, or similar wire processing equipment Experience with wire harness manufacturing or electrical component assembly Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills Strong attention to detail and quality

IPC/WHMA-A-620

knowledge preferred Experience with crimp force monitoring, SPC, MES, or quality reporting is a plus Previous automotive, aerospace, industrial wiring, or electronics manufacturing experience preferred Ability to train others on machine operation is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Stand for extended periods Work around moderate noise and moving machinery Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves
