Responsibilities Set up and operate automated wire processing machines such as Komax, Schleuniger, Alpha, Gamma, or Kappa Process wires through cutting, stripping, crimping, tinning, and seal insertion Load wire, terminals, applicators, and tooling according to job requirements Adjust machine settings for wire length, strip dimensions, crimp height, pull force, and other specifications Perform first-article inspections and quality checks Inspect finished wires for incorrect lengths, poor crimps, insulation damage, and terminal issues Use calipers, micrometers, crimp-height micrometers, and pull testers Perform basic machine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting Follow work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions Track production, scrap, and material usage Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards Maintain a clean and organized 5S work area Follow all safety, quality, and customer requirements Qualifications 4-6 years of experience operating Komax, Schleuniger, or similar automated wire processing equipment Experience with wire harness manufacturing or electrical component assembly Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills Strong attention to detail and quality Familiarity with
IPC/WHMA-A-620
standards preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods Preferred Automotive, aerospace, industrial wiring, or electronics manufacturing experience Experience with crimp force monitoring (CFM) Experience with SPC, quality reporting, or MES systems Ability to train others on wire processing equipment Work Environment Manufacturing/production floor Exposure to moderate noise and moving machinery Required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves as needed Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods
