Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Lumber Yard Worker and become a vital part of our yard operations! In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, managing inventory, and ensuring the safe and smooth flow of lumber and building supplies. Your proactive approach will help maintain a well-organized yard, support shipping and receiving processes, and uphold safety standards across all activities. Duties Safely load and unload lumber and materials using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks. Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately to meet customer specifications. Manage inventory by organizing stock in the yard, conducting regular stock counts, and updating records to ensure accuracy. Operate material handling equipment responsibly while adhering to OSHA safety protocols to prevent accidents. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying shipments, inspecting deliveries, and documenting all transactions. Support warehouse operations by maintaining cleanliness, organizing storage areas, and ensuring clear pathways for safe movement. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety practices, and meet daily operational goals. Qualifications Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely. We will train. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads regularly while maintaining proper safety techniques. Basic math skills for measuring materials, counting stock, and processing orders accurately. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude towards safety and efficiency.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
