MACHINE OPERATORS
  • 1ST & 2ND
SHIFT MONDAY
  • FRIDAY:
    1ST
  • 7:00 AM.
  • 3:30 PM/2nd
  • 3:30 PM
  • 12:00 AM Are you a flexible team player with a strong work ethic and the drive to learn new skills and challenge yourself? Our Machine Operator positions could be a good fit for you! The Machine Operator is an integral part of our manufacturing team. Primary responsibilities include set up and operation of any of the following machines
  • slitter, embosser, sheeter, while ensuring customer satisfaction, quality and safety. For 2nd shift
  • y ou must be available to train on 1st shift, Monday
  • Friday, 7:00 AM
  • 3:30 PM for 4-6 weeks.
Pay is commensurate with experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all aspects of production.
  • Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment start-up and operation while minimizing downtime.
  • Responsible for running the machine including set up, operation, monitoring product for quality as well as knife maintenance and maintaining the cleanliness of the equipment.
Turn controls to set speeds, feed rates for specified operations. Run material according to specifications. Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.
  • Duties also include some computer entry, computation of knife measurements, and taking of samples from production.
  • Loading and unloading paper from the machine using a hoist, reading and understanding slitting job requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized operating conditions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time throughout duration of 8
  • hour shift.
  • Must be capable of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 70 pounds consistently.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be able to work well with others as a team to ensure machine is operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Must observe and follow all company safety rules and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and repetitive motion is required.
  • Manufacturing background a plus, particularly in a machine operation capacity.
Requires:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend/speak English and basic math skills.
Some computer competency is required as you may enter data into the company's system. Team player with a positive and cooperative style. Safety conscience. Must wear steal toe Safety Shoes. Basic Math Skills Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16".
Pay:
$21.00
