Job Overview - 1st and 2nd Shifts Available Join the team at Hi-Tech Mold & Tool as a Set-Up Technician, where you'll play a key role in preparing and maintaining production equipment to support efficient, high-quality manufacturing. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for setting up molds and machines, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring processes are running smoothly and safely. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with advanced equipment, and being part of a team focused on precision, quality, and continuous improvement. Essential Job Duties
  • Set up molds in presses in a neat and orderly manner such that presses are ready for production.
  • Complete mold set up checklist and sign off on Quality Work Instructions.
  • Notify Supervisor of any tooling problems.
  • Remove molds and auxiliary equipment from presses at the end of production run. Properly red tag molds for mold maintenance and move to bench or mold rack.
  • Set up all machine controls as per setup sheets, including ejection stroke, barrel temperatures, mold temperatures…etc.
  • Coordinate with Supervisor and be available to fill in for Operator breaks as required.
  • Maintain clean work areas and organize areas around press prior to production.
  • Write up defective equipment and communicate to Maintenance Department.
  • Clean screws and barrels as needed.
Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
