Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials, tools, dies, molds, and finished products throughout the facility. Clean tools, dies, molds, and work areas to maintain safe, organized, and efficient production spaces. Perform general labor tasks such as sweeping, material handling, and basic housekeeping to support overall plant readiness. Use hand tools and basic equipment to assist with assembly, adjustments, and minor maintenance tasks on machines and production lines. Support general production activities, including loading and unloading materials, staging products, and assisting with process flow. Adapt to a variety of tasks and responsibilities as needed in a start-up facility, contributing wherever needed to keep operations moving. Demonstrate strong attitude, dependability, and work ethic by arriving on time, following instructions, and working safely and cooperatively with the team. Essential Skills Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for measurements in a production environment. Experience operating machines in a manufacturing setting, with a willingness to learn specific steel extrusion equipment. Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely in a plant environment. Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to understand how machines and tools function and to learn new equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in general production or manufacturing environments. Experience working in a start-up facility or fast-changing production setting. Comfort working around steel extrusion or other heavy industrial processes. Flexibility to handle a wide range of duties and shift focus as plant needs change. Willingness to learn new machinery and processes with on-the-job training. Why Work Here? You will join a new start-up facility at ground level, becoming one of the first ten team members at the plant and having a direct impact on how operations grow and evolve. This environment offers the opportunity to learn new machinery, expand your mechanical skills, and take on varied responsibilities that keep each day different. You will work closely with a small, collaborative team that values strong work ethic, reliability, and a hands-on approach to building something from the ground up. Work Environment The role is based in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing plant where conditions can be greasy and dirty due to steel extrusion and general production activities. You will spend most of the day standing, stooping, lifting, and moving materials, often using hand tools and operating machinery and a sit-down forklift.
