Machine Operator:

This role supports daily work in a structural steel fabrication shop. You'll help run machines, move heavy steel beams, use tools, and keep the work area safe. The job is physical, hands‑on, and includes regular overtime. Responsibilities Assist drill line operations and prepare large steel beams Use hand tools and power tools for basic assembly or disassembly Learn to operate an overhead crane to move materials Align beams correctly for drilling Load programs and run drilling machinery Perform general machine operation and production tasks Follow blueprints or instructions Maintain a steady work pace and meet quality standards Keep the work area clean and safe Help with general shop labor as needed Required Skills Lift and move up to 75 lbs regularly Mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools Experience or interest in machine operation Willingness to learn new equipment Ability to work overtime, including some Saturdays Strong safety awareness Helpful Experience Shop helper or general labor background Drill press or drill line experience Basic blueprint reading Structural steel or fabrication experience Comfortable in a union environment Why Work Here Family‑oriented workplace with training and growth Unlimited overtime available (50-60 hrs/week typical) 401(k) match, medical contribution, disability, life insurance Regular pay increases Flexible scheduling when work is completed Free Saturday breakfast and holiday events Work Environment First shift: 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., plus Saturday overtime Heated and air‑conditioned shop with newer equipment Hands‑on, physical work with heavy steel Safety‑focused, production‑driven environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Souderton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.57 - $19.57/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
