Job Description

Job Description The pay for this position ranges from $24.64 - $34.28 per hour based on skills and experience. The position is for 1st shift, at the Main Yard Facility in Bath, ME. Successful candidates will be expected to create a deliverable complete work packages that support manufacturing activities. The package provided is expected to contain all necessary documentation to accomplish that work and be aligned with material needed. Depending on specific assignments, this position could consist of varying levels of office, bill of material development, job packaging and/or route creation. You could be required to provide technical support as well as develop and maintain Bill of Material (BOM). The role requires creating accurate, executable manufacturing documentation and providing technical support to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with engineering and production requirements Required/Preferred Education/Training High School Diploma / GED. College degree in a technical, business, or management related field preferred. Graduate of BIW Manufacturing or Design Apprentice programs preferred. Required/Preferred Experience Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other technical documents. Competent usage of common PC-based systems (Microsoft Office, etc.) required. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Ability to work in a team environment. Satisfactory work history (discipline/attendance).
