BDS Tire Recycling, Inc., based in Fairfield, Maine, is excited to announce an immediate opening for a Machine Operator on our day shift (Monday through Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.). Our cutting-edge, 16,000-square-foot automated tire processing facility leads the industry in scrap tire collection, transportation, storage, and recycling across New England. We proudly produce innovative products such as tire-derived fuel, crumb rubber, and tire wire. What We Expect:

Monitor operations and make drive adjustments to optimize shredder performance. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct issues to keep production on track. Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance. Conduct thorough quality control inspections and quickly identify and address product variances. Maintain detailed and accurate production records. Promote cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the workspace. Assist other departments as needed. Treat fellow team members with respect.

What We Look For:

Mechanical aptitude and a passion for hands-on problem-solving. Ability to consistently lift up to 70 pounds. Comfort standing and walking for extended periods. Flexibility to occasionally bend, kneel, twist, pull, and perform overhead tasks. Reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow within the tire recycling industry. Forklift experience is preferred, though not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals.
