Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Rolling Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating rolling machines that shape and form metal sheets and components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure smooth production processes, adherence to safety standards, and high-quality output. Duties Set up and operate various rolling machines used for metal forming, ensuring proper tooling and calibration for each job. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to accurately produce parts according to specifications. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality standards. Maintain safety protocols by adhering to all safety standards in production environments, including proper machine guarding and PPE usage. Perform routine maintenance on rolling machines and other fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members on machine setup, tooling adjustments, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Inspect finished products for quality, making adjustments as needed to meet strict tolerances and specifications. Requirements Proven experience operating rolling machines or similar metal forming equipment in a manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication instructions. Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments for quality control. Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, plasma cutting, press brake machines, CNC lathes, milling machines, welding, forming machines, and sheet metal fabrication is highly desirable. Ability to understand shop math concepts including basic calculations related to machining and fabrication processes. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and commitment to maintaining a safe workspace. Mechanical aptitude combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, measuring devices, cranes, and other fabrication equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly and efficiently. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and adherence to safety protocols.
