Job Summary We're a small, family-owned business that takes pride in helping families honor their loved ones through beautifully crafted memorials. Our work includes engraving cultured marble urns and granite headstones with precision, care, and respect. We believe in quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and treating every piece we make as something meaningful. We're looking for a Laser Engraving Technician to join our team. This person will work with a CO₂ laser engraver to create personalized designs on marble and granite. The right candidate enjoys both the technical and creative sides of the job — someone who can combine good design sense with careful craftsmanship. Excellent photo editing skills are required. Responsibilities Set up and operate the CO₂ laser engraving machine ensuring proper calibration and alignment for each project. Work closely with our small team to meet customer requests and timelines Use LightBurn and other software to prepare artwork, text, and layouts. Edit and format designs for engraving (logos, portraits, decorative borders, etc.). Handle marble and granite pieces safely and precisely. Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy. Keep the equipment clean and in good working condition. Program laser engravers using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to achieve precise designs. Read and interpret orders to meet project requirements. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment. Handle materials safely using hand tools, forklifts, or other materials handling equipment within the manufacturing facility. Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify engraved details meet specifications. Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine settings, and inspection results for process improvement and accountability. Experience Experience with laser engraving equipment (CO₂ laser experience preferred). Strong understanding of LightBurn and other photo software and general graphic design principles. Comfort working with vector artwork and design files. A good eye for layout, spacing, and detail. Dependable, organized, and self-motivated — we value people who take pride in their work.
