General Summary:
We are a manufacturer of high performance ropes (ropes capable of lifting 50-70 tons). We are looking for first shift machine operators in our Twisting Department. You will be expected to cross train after gaining proficiency on the machines in your department.
Essential Job Functions:
Operates all twisting, winding, and braiding machines. Responsible for retrieving and following an electronic schedule on a daily basis. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following 6S standards. Operate the machine according to specific process documentation. Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently. Ability to identify problems with products and/or machinery and report it immediately. Maintain paperwork to ensure inventory and production schedules are up to date. Follow machine specific preventive maintenance schedules. Performs quality control functions by inspecting, identifying and reporting variances in yarn quality. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing environment a plus. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude a plus. Ability to lift 70 lbs. repeatedly. Ability to bend, stand, kneel, twist, pull and work overhead. Ability to follow detailed operating instructions and perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Knowledge of Company quality assurance expectations and packaging requirements.
