At Lie-Nielsen Toolworks, we've been making heirloom quality, woodworking hand tools here in Warren, Maine, for 45 years. As a result of our relentless dedication to quality, we are recognized as one of the premier hand tool makers in the world. Our tools are found in workshops on every continent across the globe (even Antarctica!). Behind the scenes, we run a tight ship. Our group of 70 employees work hard every day to make hundreds of tools each week and provide excellent support to our customers.

About the job:

This is an entry level machine operator position in making high quality parts from metal or wood. Experience is not necessary but strongly preferred. A background in a production or fast paced schedule-based environment is a plus. Applicants with more experience will be considered for higher level positions.

Minimum qualification requirements:

Show up and work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7-3:30 Lift and carry 40 pounds, be on your feet for 8 hours a day Be able to safely operate heavy machinery Willing to learn, adapt, and be flexible with change Have a positive attitude and communicate and work well with others Maintain a drama free workplace (we have a zero-tolerance-for-gossip policy) Maintain a drug & alcohol free work environment About our pay structure: This position starts at $18 (or more, with applicable experience). After a 90-day trial period, we do a performance review and, if things are going well, a pay bump.
