Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics processing, particularly in extrusion, and will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion equipment. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications. Responsibilities Operate and monitor extrusion machinery to produce plastic products according to specifications. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on extrusion machinery. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes and adherence to safety standards. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation and adjustments. Handle materials safely, including loading and unloading using forklifts when necessary. Assist in the setup of blow molding, injection molding, and other related processes as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area following lean manufacturing principles. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing and machining environments. Familiarity with plastics processing techniques such as extrusion, blow molding, and injection molding. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production processes. Experience with materials handling in a warehouse setting is preferred. Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and standards in manufacturing processes.
