Job Title:
Operator Job Description Perform basic assembly tasks involving plastic components, sub-assemblies, and production parts in accordance with work instructions. Responsibilities also include loading and unloading raw materials, finished parts, and tooling to and from molding machines, workstations, and staging areas. Additionally, provide machine support by assisting operators with materials, removing finished parts, and maintaining organized work areas. Ensure quality by inspecting parts for defects, proper dimensions, and overall quality, and promptly report any issues. Accurately count, bag, box, and label finished parts for shipment or internal use. Operate pallet jacks, carts, and other basic material-handling equipment safely, and maintain clean, organized work areas following all housekeeping standards. Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and safe-lifting procedures. Assist machine operators by supplying materials, removing finished parts, and keeping work areas organized. Inspect parts for defects, proper dimensions, and overall quality; report issues promptly. Count, bag, box, and label finished parts accurately for shipment or internal use. Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, and other basic material-handling equipment. Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all housekeeping standards. Follow all company safety protocols, PPE requirements, and safe-lifting procedures. Essential Skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Strong attention to detail. Commitment to attendance and a positive teamwork attitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications Production or manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Basic mechanical aptitude or familiarity with tools is a plus. Work Environment The position is based on a 3rd shift schedule from 9am to 6am, involving light assembly, loading, and unloading tasks. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining clean and organized workstations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Centreville, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
