Dexter, MI Job Details Full-time From $20 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications Safety protocol adherence Shop math High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Dextech has immediate openings for Machining Trainees in the Heading and Thread Rolling Departments at our Manufacturing Building. We are seeking entry-level candidates with strong mechanical skills, a willingness to grow, and excellent attendance. These are second-shift positions, though training is typically completed on the first shift. Please note that the manufacturing environment is subject to seasonal temperature changes, where it can be hot during the summer months and cooler during the winter months.
Primary responsibilities include:
Setting up and operating machinery for fastener production (with a focus on safety, quality, and production) Perform tool and die changes. Perform oil changes. Perform in process quality checks to ensure compliance with customer requirements. Operate hi-lo equipment to assist with material handling. Follow 5S principles to maintain a clean, organized, efficient working environment.
Growth & Advancement:
Dextech offers competitive pay starting at $20 per hour for these roles. Employees are eligible for a $0.50 per hour wage increase every 90 days until they reach the top rate for their department. We also provide extensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as a 401(k) plan.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED. Ability to understand and interpret shop math. Safety-conscious mindset and a positive attitude. Flexibility with shift assignments and availability for overtime. Reliability and a desire for a long-term career.
