AWT has the following position open in our Grand Blanc, MI location: The schedule for this position is "C" Shift Thursday-Saturday, Hours are - 5:00 am - 5:30 pm. Additional days and hours may be necessary due to production requirements. Required Job Duties Ensures high standards of workmanship and efficiency running various products on Rewinding/slitting, finishing and inspection machines. Ensures outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer need Detects equipment malfunctions and adjusting machine, controls, or control media within capabilities as required to ensure quality of production. Ensures proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times. Follows manufacturing and processing procedures, setting machine or equipment controls, carrying out production and inspection processes as documented. Marks, records, and reports defective/ non-conforming product. Performs daily, weekly and monthly (scheduled) maintenance and safety checks, as well as fills out required Maintenance log. Maintains a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day Resolves work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety. Sets up the machine for various products and closely monitoring machines for signs of problems while ensuring output is meeting set specifications Communicates with Supervisor, Lead Hand and/or Quality Assurance, as needed for any issue that arises during production. Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn. Superior attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving abilities. Good verbal and written communication skills. Safety-first attitude. Good time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a team. Strong work ethic skills. Ability to stand for long periods of time in one area and dexterity. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and general competency with technology.
