- additional $.75 after 90days and room for quick advancement. We work 12 hr days, 2 on, 2 off, every other 3 day weekend. 5:45am
- 6:00pm.
The Extrusion Operator Assistant performs all tasks involved in producing ALLEN® thermoplastic sheet from start to finish. This includes setting up equipment, preparing materials, adjusting machine settings, inspecting products, and stacking and packaging finished product. This person follows the standard work processes and practices safe work habits to ensure efficiency and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following, other duties may be assigned Performs all tasks for the extrusion process from beginning to end, including stacking, packing, and movement and storage, sometimes using a lift truck. Identifies defective materials, equipment, or questionable conditions, and reports to a Training Operator or Production Manager. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Completes all mandatory and supplemental checks for quality and prescribed written and computer based recordkeeping. Reads tape measure and micrometer for size changes and setting the knife and shear accurately. Assists with setting up, roll changes, die splits, and die swaps.
EDUCATION, PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALIZED SKILLS
The candidate must successfully complete a training program of preliminary operations and participate in continued training for regular operation of the extrusion line(s) within the company.
PHYSICAL DEMAND, WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
The position is inside the factory environment and involves regular standing, walking, reaching, climbing and moving around the equipment for the majority of the shift. Employee must be able to lift up to 70 pounds. There is moderate to heavy physical effort needed to perform many of the necessary tasks. OTHER Must be able to work as part of team Must wear all required personal protective equipment including: safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and clothing containing no blue dye Ability to lift 70 lbs. occasionally and 40 to 50 lbs. frequently
