Supervisor, Manufacturing (Assembly) SUMMARY This is responsible work, generally of a routine nature. Supplies parts and/or material as needed to operators/associates as well as other duties as assigned. Direct supervision is provided by the shift supervisor, but the routine nature of the work allows for reasonable independent work scheduling within prescribed guidelines.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be physically capable of walking and pushing a cart for the entire work shift. Must be able to move up to 40 pounds. Repeated bending and lifting during the shift. Must be able to wear steel-toe footwear. Adequate visual acuity to qualify for a forklift license. Must be able to operate a pallet jack for product movement. Must be capable of climbing ladders/stairs for material changes.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Under general supervision is responsible for the following major tasks: Insure all components, cartons and packing material are at work stations as needed per the SLMS system. Follows utility route as instructed- removes finished goods and delivers to ship stage, supplies WIP parts and purchased components to assembly as ordered with kanbans.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma orGED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices. A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional Score of 16 on the Cognitive section).TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
